Listed Building Renovation in County Cork
A project where the mix of technology and classic period features had to be taken into account. This four storey townhouse was renovated to include whole house WiFi, automated lighting and climate controls, as well as a smart door entry system. The home automation elements were hidden from view to ensure the character of the property was retained.
As a beautiful listed building, the key project priority was to ensure any home automation undertaken was within listed building restoration guidelines, as well as respecting the character of the property.
Despite the constraints, all of our work fitted within the project scope.
Our solution dramatically improved the wireless signal over this four-storey home. Wireless access points were placed strategically around the home to ensure every point of the home was covered.
Smart heating controls ensure that heat generated is delivered to the rooms that need it, reducing energy costs for this large property.
A smart doorbell system enables the homeowners to be notified of visitors at any time, regardless of whether or not they are home, and they can answer the doorbell and speak to any visitors remotely.
